Sir Linus - Dog Hero

Linus just blows my mind. He really is the coolest dog to ever exist. About 2 weeks ago we walked Linus & Elvis to our favorite coffee shop for breakfast. A couple walks by & the guy says “Look at the expression on that dogs face, it looks like he’s thinking about quantum physics” so I said “it’s quite possible that he is.” He looks smart but can he back it up? You betcha! Linus & Elvis stayed at my parents house for a few days while Don & I were in Las Vegas. One of my mom’s dogs has diabetes and is now blind. Linus has taken on the roll of guide dog for the blind dog! When Calvin gets disoriented and starts to cry Linus will go get him and guide him back to my mom! It’s freakin amazing! I’m so proud of him, he may have his issues but he is one smart dog!

Matching Shirts

Linus & Elvis have matching black polo shirts.
I'm trying to get them jobs at a movie theater taking tickets. : )

Linus usually likes wearing clothes (Elvis isn’t into it). But I think Linus has a problem with this particular shirt because Elvis has one too. Linus just rolls over on his back and sticks his middle finger up at me. But they are so cute in them!

Poor Linus has been a little irritated with Elvis since Linus got his “makeover”. Linus’ hair was getting really long & old man’ish so he went to the groomer. She did a great job, he seems to be happy with the cut, just not happy with its effect on Elvis. Elvis may be as cute as can be but he is a bit dim. He seems to think Linus is a new dog, as in, never seen him before new dog… Elvis has been trying to hump Linus & act more dominant than Linus. Linus gives him the “Dude, what the hell?” growl. It’s pretty funny to watch. I guess he does look different, probably smells different too but still…

Here is the new bed we bought for Elvis. It was meant to go in his kennel so he would be warm and comfy. He decided he hated it soooo much that he tried to eat it. When that failed he removed it from the kennel all on his own. Twice. Now that it has been exiled from the kennel Linus decided that he likes it. So of course Elvis wants it back. Now they share it, I’m not sure that Linus is 100% behind the idea of sharing but he clearly doesn’t have much of a choice. The kennel has since turned into the napkin/bra/important paperwork shredding area.
